King George County is sponsoring its first annual Volunteer Fair – this is a great opportunity for King George County citizens to learn more about local and regional organizations that are in need of volunteers. There will be over 25 organizations in attendance, all seeking volunteers for their varied activities and programs. These organizations include:
- Fredericksburg Area Food Bank
- Rappahannock Big Brothers/Big Sisters
- Friends of the Smoot Library
- Rappahannock Council Against Sexual Assault
- Habitat for Humanity
- Rappahannock Legal Services
- King George Farmers Market
- Rappahannock United Way
- King George Animal Rescue League
- USO of Metropolitan Washington
This is a free event with no cost to you. The event will be held Saturday, September 18, 2010 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the King George High School.
