Why we blog

Why do we blog?

We are always finding new ways to connect with our community, and with social networking, blogging and Twitter, our community just expanded to include billions of people.  Some might see that as an exaggeration, but it’s true.  We now have the ability to get in touch with people across the country and around the world to spread the word about what we do and who we are. The first step to prevention is awareness and blogging will only help raise that awareness.

What will you find here?

In addition to general information about our agency and our various fundraisers and events, you will find news articles, commentary, opinions, and experiences posted by our staff.  We will be constantly updating our links to include the resources that are available to help survivors.  Our links also include links to the blogs of survivors – these are places to see how the internet can be used as a type of therapy, another step on the path to healing.

We also have a LiveChat that we hope to keep running during office hours.  Please message us with any questions you might have.

Who is blogging?

Leslie, RCASA’s administrative assistant, is currently the voice behind the blog.  We hope to have guest posts from all our employees in the future!

  1. I think this is very cool that you have a blog. I checked out the website, too. It is excellent and easy to navigate. I think you will be helping a lot of people. Thanks for the link.
